Ingredients
  

  • - 2 cups strawberries chopped (fresh or thawed frozen)
  • - ½ cup granulated sugar
  • - ½ cup water

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, and water.
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  • Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until berries are very soft.
  • Pour mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl.
  • Press the berries with a spoon to extract all liquid.
  • Let syrup cool, then store in a clean jar or airtight container.

Notes

- Refrigerate for 3–5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
- Use lemon juice or vanilla to change the flavor profile.
