A Spooky Dark Cosmo
A wicked twist on the Cosmopolitan, the Dark Cosmo uses prune and pomegranate for a deep, fruity flavor and visual drama. Garnish with a creepy prune spider for full effect.
Equipment
- Cocktail shaker
- - Jigger
- - Skewer
- - Martini glass or beaker-style glass
Ingredients
- - ½ oz lime juice
- - ½ oz Cointreau
- - 1 ½ oz vodka
- - 1 oz prune juice
- - 2 oz pomegranate juice
- - Optional: red sanding sugar prune, cherry, wild rice, edible glitter, dry ice
Instructions
- Rim glass with lime and red sugar if using.
- Skewer cherry + prune for garnish. Add 8 grains of wild rice as “legs.”
- Shake all liquid ingredients in a shaker with ice.
- Add crushed dry ice (optional) and regular ice to glass.
- Strain in cocktail and garnish with spider skewer.
Notes
- Only use crushed dry ice and never consume before it sublimates
