  • 1 cup Cane Sugar or Brown Sugar Substitute coconut sugar if desired.
  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter or Vegetable Oil Use applesauce for lower fat.
  • 2 large Eggs Can substitute with 1 flax egg.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Use pure vanilla for best flavor.
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Whole wheat flour can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda Essential for rise.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Optional but recommended.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg Optional but recommended.

For the Mix-ins

  • 1 cup Chopped Walnuts Can replace with chocolate chips or raisins.

Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Then, whisk in the cane or brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, sea salt, and spices.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Fold in any mix-ins like chopped walnuts.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50–60 minutes.
  • Once baked, let the loaf cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.

Notes
