  • kosher salt to enhance sweetness

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Prepare the Balsamic Strawberries: In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the quartered strawberries, balsamic vinegar, honey, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of kosher salt. Bring to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Simmer Until Jam-Like: Lower the heat to medium-low and cook for about 20 minutes, stirring often until it thickens into a jam-like consistency. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  • Marinate the Sliced Strawberries: While the balsamic strawberries cool, combine sliced strawberries with honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, torn basil, a pinch of salt, and a drizzle of olive oil in a small bowl. Toss gently and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Assemble the Dish: Arrange the torn burrata on a large plate and spoon balsamic and marinated strawberries over the top.
  • Finish with Flavor: Drizzle more olive oil, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt, freshly cracked black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve with toasted bread.
