How to Make Caramelized Onions

  • Begin by halving your medium yellow onions, then evenly slice them into thin layers.
  • In a 12-inch cast-iron skillet, pour in 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté for about 5 minutes.
