Ingredients
  

  • - 1 cup 225g unsalted butter, softened
  • - 1 cup 200g granulated sugar
  • - 1 cup 220g packed light brown sugar
  • - 2 large eggs
  • - 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • - 3 cups 375g all-purpose flour
  • - 1 tsp baking soda
  • - ½ tsp baking powder
  • - 1 tsp salt
  • - 2 cups semisweet or dark chocolate chips/chunks

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets.
  • Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  • Whisk dry ingredients in a separate bowl, then combine with wet ingredients.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Chill dough 30–60 minutes.
  • Scoop onto baking sheets and bake 10–12 minutes.
  • Cool on baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

- For extra thickness, chill overnight.
- Use chopped chocolate bars for gooier pockets.
- Add nuts or spices to customize.
