How to Make Cottage Cheese Bagels

  • In a large bowl, combine the self-raising flour and a pinch of salt. If using all-purpose flour, add the baking powder here.
  • Blend the cottage cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Gently fold the blended cottage cheese into the dry ingredients until a rough dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface until soft and pliable.
  • Divide the dough into 4 pieces and shape each into a bagel.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and shape the bagels.
  • Prepare a baking tray with parchment paper, brush bagels with egg wash, and add toppings.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, or air fry at 325°F (160°C) for 17-20 minutes.
  • Let cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes before slicing.
