  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

  • 1/2 small Red Onion sliced

Preparation Steps

  • Slice the cucumbers into ⅛ to ¼-inch rounds using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  • Lay the cucumber slices on paper towels and sprinkle generously with salt. Let sit for about 15 minutes to draw out moisture, then blot dry.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together sour cream, minced garlic, fresh dill, white vinegar, and black pepper until smooth.
  • In a large mixing bowl, toss cucumber slices and sliced red onion with the dressing until evenly coated.
  • You can serve the salad immediately or refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For an added flavor boost, consider squeezing fresh lemon juice before serving. Store cucumbers and dressing separately if preparing ahead for the best texture.
