Directions

  • Cook the jasmine or basmati rice according to the package instructions; fluff and keep warm.
  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes; sear shrimp for 1-2 minutes on each side until pink.
  • Melt butter in the same skillet and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  • If desired, whisk in a tablespoon of flour for a thicker sauce.
  • Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice, adjust seasoning.
  • Return shrimp to skillet, toss until heated through and coated in sauce.
  • Serve shrimp and sauce over warm rice, garnish with fresh parsley.
