Instructions

How to Make Classic BBQ Chicken Sliders

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy clean-up.
  • While the oven heats up, slice your onion and cilantro, and shred the cheese if you need to. Having everything ready makes the assembly a breeze!
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with BBQ sauce, diced jalapeño, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Stir until everything is well-coated and bursting with flavor.
  • Carefully split the slider rolls and fill each with the chicken mixture. Top with red onion, fresh cilantro, and a generous layer of pepper Jack cheese.
  • Place the assembled sliders on the baking sheet, cover with foil, and bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes. This allows the cheese to melt perfectly.
  • After 12 minutes, remove the foil, brush the tops of the buns with garlic butter, sprinkle a touch of black pepper, and return to the oven uncovered for an additional 5-8 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown.
  • Once they’re beautifully toasted, take them out of the oven and serve the sliders warm! Enjoy while the cheese is still gooey and delicious.
