For the Cake Layers

  • 30 cookies Oreos Crushed for the base
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter Melted

For the Creamy Filling

  • 8 oz Cream cheese Softened
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 container Cool Whip Thawed
  • 1 box Instant white chocolate or vanilla pudding mix

For the Final Touch

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • assorted Easter candy (PEEP bunnies, edible grass, candy Easter eggs) For decoration

How to Make Easter Dirt Cake

  • Gently crush ⅔ of the package of Oreos and spread the crumbs evenly in the bottom of a 9x13 pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter until smooth and creamy. Add in the powdered sugar gradually, and then fold in the Cool Whip.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Gently fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese blend until fully combined.
  • Carefully pour this delightful filling over the Oreo crumb mixture, smoothing it out with a spatula for an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos over the top and let the cake chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Just before serving, decorate with PEEP bunnies, edible grass, and candy Easter eggs.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Enjoy fresh within 1-2 days for the best taste if decorated with toppings.
