Instructions

How to Make Neapolitan Cake

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease three 8-inch round cake pans and line them with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
  • In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
  • Divide the batter into three equal bowls. Into one, mix in the melted chocolate; into the second, add the pureed strawberries; leave the third bowl as the vanilla batter.
  • Pour the batters into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Cool the cakes in their pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
  • Beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy for the frosting.
  • Spread a layer of frosting between the chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry cakes. Apply more frosting on the outside for a smooth finish.
  • Chill your assembled cake in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
