For the Salmon

  • 1 pound salmon fillet cut into 2-3 fillets for even cooking

For the Asparagus

  • 1 bunch asparagus trimmed for even cooking

For Cooking

  • 1 tablespoon salted butter adds rich flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil prevents sticking

For Flavoring

  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 lemon zest and juice for brightness
  • salt and cracked black pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

  • Melt 1 tablespoon of salted butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  • Place the salmon fillets and asparagus into the pan. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Flip the salmon and asparagus, cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through.
  • Add minced garlic and lemon zest to the pan, stir and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the salmon and asparagus.

Notes

Optional: Garnish with fresh parsley for added flavor and color.
