How to Make Strawberry Poke Cake

  • Preheat your oven and bake the white cake mix according to the package instructions. Allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Gently poke holes all over the cooled cake using the end of a wooden spoon.
  • Whisk together the strawberry Jello mix with hot water as directed on the package and pour it slowly over the poked cake.
  • Cover your cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4-5 hours until the Jello has fully set.
  • Spread the Cool Whip gently over the top of the cake once the Jello has set.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries or mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Ensure the cake is completely cool before poking holes to prevent melting the Jello. Pour the Jello while still warm for better absorption.
