  • 5 cups cubed seedless watermelon the star of our recipe
  • 1/3 cup liquid sweetener of choice agave, honey, or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice adds a zesty kick
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt enhances sweetness

Instructions
 

How to Make Watermelon Sorbet

  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Spread the cubed watermelon evenly across the sheet, then freeze until solid, about 3 hours.
  • In a food processor or high-speed blender, combine the frozen watermelon, liquid sweetener, lime juice, and kosher salt. Blend until smooth and slightly chunky, around 1 minute.
  • Process the mixture again for 4 to 6 minutes, or until it’s smooth and creamy.
  • For soft-serve consistency, serve immediately. For firmer sorbet, transfer to an airtight container and freeze for 2 to 3 hours.

Notes

Garnish with mint leaves or a sprinkle of lime zest if desired.
