  • 1 teaspoon almond extract optional
  • 15.25 ounces white cake mix for a light, fluffy base
  • 1 cup butter melted

How to Make Cherry Dump Cake

  • Preheat your oven to 350 °F (177 °C) and lightly spray a 9×13 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Stir in the almond extract, if using, by adding 1 teaspoon to each can of cherry pie filling.
  • Spread the cherry pie filling evenly at the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  • Dump the white cake mix on top of the cherries in an even layer.
  • Pour the melted butter generously over the cake mix, soaking as much of it as possible.
  • Bake in your preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, until the edges are bubbling and golden brown.
  • Cool for about 15 minutes before serving.

Notes
