For the Relish

  • 12 oz Fresh Cranberries Choose bright red, firm berries without soft spots for best results.
  • 1 cup Sugar Adjust based on your taste; relish will taste less sweet after chilling.
  • 1 large Orange Use both zest and juice, washed thoroughly to remove wax.

Instructions

How to Make Cranberry Relish

  • Zest your orange and set the zest aside. Cut the ends off the orange and slice it into 8 wedges, removing any seeds.
  • Rinse the cranberries under cold water, discarding any soft or discolored berries. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • In your food processor, add the cranberries, orange wedges (with skin), sugar, and reserved orange zest.
  • Pulse a few times, then process until you reach your desired texture, aimed for a smooth blend with some chunks.
  • Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to meld flavors.
  • Serve chilled and stir to mix the juices before enjoying.

Notes

Garnish with a sprinkle of orange zest for added color. Store in an airtight container; lasts up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
