Ingredients
  

For the Crust

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon genuine vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

For the Cream Cheese Topping

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup salted butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1-2 Tablespoons milk adjust for spreading consistency
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

For the Toppings

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together in the bowl of a stand mixer on medium-high speed for 1 minute.
  • Mix in the egg, vanilla, almond extract, baking powder, and salt at medium speed until well combined.
  • Add the flour gradually, 1 cup at a time, mixing until just combined after each addition.
  • Press the dough into a 12” circle on a pizza pan or cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350°F for 15-18 minutes or until the edges are set.
  • Cool the crust on the counter for 10-15 minutes.
  • Combine cream cheese and softened butter in the stand mixer bowl and mix for 30 seconds until slightly smooth.
  • Incorporate the powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of milk, vanilla, and lemon juice. Beat on low until mixed.
  • Whip on high for 3 more minutes until the frosting is creamy and luscious.
  • Spread the cream cheese topping generously over the cooled crust.
  • Decorate with assorted fresh fruits in a beautiful pattern.

Notes

For the best texture, let thawed slices come to room temperature before enjoying or briefly reheat them in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.
