  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar Coconut sugar is a healthier alternative.

For Roasting

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Avocado oil is a suitable alternative.

How to Make Hot Honey Chicken Bowls

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C) and prepare two rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Chop sweet potatoes into bite-sized cubes and spread evenly on one sheet pan.
  • Pat dry chicken thighs and arrange them flat on the second sheet pan, adding chopped bacon if desired.
  • Prep broccoli by cutting into florets, setting aside. Drizzle olive oil over sweet potatoes and chicken, tossing to coat.
  • Mix together seasoning ingredients and sprinkle evenly over chicken and sweet potatoes, tossing again.
  • Roast sweet potatoes and chicken in the oven for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Toss sweet potatoes, add broccoli to the chicken pan, and return to the oven for an additional 20–25 minutes.
  • Assemble bowls with roasted chicken, veggies, and sweet potatoes, drizzling with hot honey and sprinkling red pepper flakes.
