How to Make Corned Beef and Cabbage Recipe Crock Pot

  • Chop the onion, carrots, celery, and baby potatoes, and place them at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Season the corned beef brisket generously with kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, and store-bought pickling spice. Lay it on top of the vegetables.
  • Add the thyme sprigs and bay leaves for extra depth, then fill the slow cooker with water until the meat is nearly submerged.
  • Cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for about 4.5 hours, until the beef is fork-tender.
  • Incorporate the chopped cabbage into the slow cooker and cook on high for an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour until it's tender.
