How to Make Irresistible Date Energy Balls

  • Toast the walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes until fragrant and golden brown.
  • Soak the Medjool dates in warm water for 10 minutes to soften, then drain thoroughly.
  • In a food processor, blend the toasted walnuts, oat flour, almond butter, soaked dates, vanilla extract, salt, and ground cinnamon until crumbly.
  • If the mixture feels dry, add water by the teaspoon until pliable.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips by hand until evenly distributed.
  • Form the mixture into walnut-sized balls using your hands or a cookie scoop.
  • Chill the energy balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
