  • oven-proof skillet or baking dish

Ingredients

For the Dip

  • 8 slices Bacon Adds a smoky, savory flavor; use turkey bacon for a lighter option.
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Provides a rich, creamy base; make sure it’s softened for easy mixing.
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Adds moisture and creaminess; Greek yogurt can be a healthier substitute.
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream Contributes tang and creaminess; can be replaced with extra Greek yogurt.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Enhances flavor depth with a savory hint; use fresh minced garlic for a punchier taste.
  • 2 count Jalapeños Bring heat and flavor; remove seeds for less spice; poblano peppers can be a milder swap.
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Melts beautifully and adds sharp flavor; feel free to mix different cheeses for variety.
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese Offers creaminess and a mild taste; add Pepper Jack for an extra kick.
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt Balances flavors; regular salt can work too, but use it sparingly.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Adds a hint of spice; freshly cracked is ideal for enhanced flavor.

For Topping

  • 1 cup Additional Cheese Provide extra melty goodness; top with a sprinkle of your favorite blend.
  • 1 count Chopped Jalapeños For added heat and garnish; scatter on top right before baking.
  • 2 slices Chopped Bacon For extra crispiness and a delectable crunch; use the remainder of the cooked bacon.

Instructions

How to Make Jalapeño Popper Dip

  • In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Remove it and drain on paper towels, then chop into small pieces.
  • In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, most of the bacon, diced jalapeños, and a majority of the cheeses. Season with kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste. Mix until well blended.
  • Transfer the mixture to an oven-proof skillet or a suitable baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese, bacon, and a few slices of jalapeño on top for extra flair and flavor.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly. For an extra crispy topping, broil for an additional 3 minutes at the end.
  • Once out of the oven, let it cool for a minute. Pair with tortilla chips, baguette slices, or fresh veggie sticks. Enjoy every cheesy, crispy bite!
