Equipment

  • - Medium pot
  • - Baking tray
  • - Parchment paper

Ingredients

For the Pecans

  • 2 cups Raw Pecan Halves Can substitute with walnuts.

For the Sweet Coating

  • 1 cup Maple Syrup Agave syrup can be used for a vegan alternative.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Adjust to taste; nutmeg can be used as an alternative.

For Flavor Balance

  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt Regular salt can be used if kosher is unavailable.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a medium pot over medium heat, add the raw pecan halves, maple syrup, cinnamon, and kosher salt. Stir everything together to coat the pecans evenly with the syrup mixture.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir constantly for about 8 to 10 minutes, until the syrup thickens and starts to evaporate, leaving a glossy coating on the pecans.
  • Carefully pour the candied pecans onto a parchment-lined baking tray, spreading them out to prevent sticking. Allow them to cool for at least 10 minutes—this will help them achieve that delicious crunch!
  • Once cooled, gently break apart any clusters of pecans using your hands and enjoy or store them for later.

Notes

Optional: Drizzle with a bit of chocolate for an indulgent twist! Store in an airtight container for maximum freshness.
