Ingredients
  

For the Dough

  • ½ cup Warm water Activates the yeast for rise.
  • 1 package Active dry yeast or instant yeast Essential for fluffy rolls.
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated sugar Feeds the yeast.
  • cup Melted butter Adds richness and flavor.
  • ½ cup Milk At room temperature.
  • cup Granulated sugar Enhances sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Sea salt Balances flavors.
  • cups All-purpose flour Forms the structure.

For the Filling

  • ½ cup Dark brown sugar Adds caramel-like sweetness.
  • tablespoons Cinnamon The star spice.

For the Glaze

  • cups Powdered sugar Sifted.
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons Milk Adjust for consistency.
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract Adds aromatic flavor.

Instructions
 

Making Cinnamon Rolls

  • Grease the baking dish lightly with butter.
  • In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, milk, sugar, and salt. Stir in yeast mixture.
  • In a large bowl, pour in flour and gradually add wet ingredients. Stir until combined.
  • Dust work surface with flour and knead the dough for 3 to 4 minutes until smooth.
  • Brush a large bowl with melted butter, place dough ball inside, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  • Punch the risen dough down and roll it out into a large rectangle.
  • Spread 2 tablespoons of melted butter over the dough, leaving a border.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar filling evenly over the dough.
  • Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 equal rolls.
  • Place rolls cut-side up in greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • In a medium bowl, combine powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons of milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Uncover the rolls and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden on top.
  • Let the rolls cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle with glaze and serve.

Notes

Optional: For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the glaze.
