How to Make Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin or line it with paper liners for easy cleanup.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and sour cream until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Gradually whisk in the baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice (if using), and kosher salt until everything is well combined.
  • Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until it's just incorporated. Then, sprinkle in the semisweet chocolate chips and fold gently to distribute.

  • Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
