Equipment

  • Air fryer

Ingredients

For the Marinade

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Adds depth of flavor; freshly ground provides more intensity.
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup Provides sweetness and glaze; use pure maple syrup for authentic taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Low-Sodium Soy Sauce Balances the sweetness with umami depth; Kikkoman is recommended.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coarsely Ground Black Pepper Adds a slight kick; adjust to taste.

For the Salmon

  • 4 fillets Salmon Fillets Use skin-on for a crispy bottom, about 6 ounces each for even cooking.

Instructions

Directions

  • In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, low-sodium soy sauce, garlic powder, and coarsely ground black pepper.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry to remove excess moisture. Marinate 2/3 of the glaze with the fillets in a resealable bag or shallow container for about 30 minutes.
  • Set the air fryer to 375°F and let it preheat for 3-5 minutes.
  • Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry the salmon for 4 minutes. Then, brush with the reserved glaze and cook for another 4 minutes.
  • Once cooked, let the salmon rest for 2-3 minutes.

Notes

Serve with a sprinkle of sesame seeds for an extra touch of flavor.
