Instructions

How to Make Healthy Sesame Chicken

  • Prepare the Ingredients: Start by cutting the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes. While you're at it, cook your rice and green beans according to the package instructions to get everything ready.
  • Cook Chicken: Heat 2 tablespoons of avocado oil in a large pan over medium-high heat for about 1 minute. Add the chicken cubes and sauté until they are beautifully browned and cooked through, around 10-12 minutes.
  • Make the Sauce: While the chicken is cooking, whisk together 1/4 cup of coconut aminos, 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, and black pepper to taste.
  • Combine: Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pan. Pour the sauce into the same pan and cook it over medium heat until it starts bubbling, about 3-5 minutes. Stir consistently until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Finish: Return the chicken to the pan, stirring gently to ensure it’s fully coated in the delicious sauce. Let it simmer for another minute for the flavors to meld beautifully.
  • Serve: Plate your Healthy Sesame Chicken over a bed of rice and green beans, and garnish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds for that perfect crunch.
