For the Pudding Layer

  • 1 box dry white chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk

For the Whipped Cream

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cake Layer

  • 1 loaf angel food cake

For the Fruit Layers

  • 2 cups strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 2 cups blueberries

How to Make Red White and Blue Trifle

  • Combine the dry pudding mix and cold milk in a mixing bowl. Whisk it together for 2 minutes until it's smooth. Set aside to thicken slightly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until stiff peaks form.
  • Slice the angel food cake and cut each slice into 1/2-1 inch pieces.
  • Spread half of the angel food cake pieces over the bottom of your trifle dish.
  • Top the cake layer with sliced strawberries.
  • Spread half of the prepared pudding mixture over the strawberries.
  • Add a layer of fresh blueberries on top of the pudding.
  • Spread half of the whipped cream over the blueberries.
  • Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients.
  • Decorate the top with extra strawberries and blueberries.

Notes

For a crunchy texture, sprinkle crushed graham crackers on top before serving.
