  • 1 pinch black pepper enhances the bioavailability of turmeric

For Optional Enhancements

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil optional for absorption of curcumin
  • 1/2 cup water adjust consistency to taste

How to Make Lemon Ginger Turmeric Shots

  • In a high-powered blender, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, water, and optional olive oil with the peeled oranges, chopped ginger, turmeric, and black pepper.
  • Blend the mixture until completely smooth, about 30-60 seconds.
  • Pass the blended mixture through a mesh strainer to remove the pulp.
  • Pour the clear liquid into 2 oz glass jars for easy storage.
  • Shake the jar well before each use, as natural separation can occur.

Notes

Store in individual jars in the fridge for up to one week. Freeze in silicone molds for longer storage.
