- 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
- 1½ lbs large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves minced
- ½ cup chicken broth or white wine
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper
- ¼ cup chopped parsley
- Zest of 1 lemon
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
Boil pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water. Drain.
Pat shrimp dry. Season with salt and pepper.
In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp oil. Sauté shrimp until pink. Remove.
Add garlic and red pepper flakes to skillet. Cook 30 seconds.
Add broth and lemon juice. Simmer 2–3 mins.
Add pasta. Toss to coat. Return shrimp to pan.
Stir in parsley, lemon zest, and Parmesan. Add pasta water if needed.
Serve hot with lemon wedges.
Use fresh garlic for best flavor
