Ingredients
  

Strawberry Blend

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries mashed
  • 2 tablespoons cane sugar adjust based on taste

Matcha Mixture

  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • 1 cup cold water

For Assembly

  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup almond milk or any milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey optional for sweetness

Preparation

  • Combine the strawberries and sugar in a small bowl. Use a fork to mash and mix them gently until they form a sweet, chunky blend. Set aside for a moment, allowing the flavors to mingle.
  • Sift the matcha powder into another small bowl to ensure there are no lumps. Add the cold water and whisk briskly using a matcha whisk or a small whisk until the matcha is fully dissolved and foamy on top.
  • Layer the bottom of a tall glass with the prepared strawberry mixture, creating a colorful base. Fill the glass halfway with ice, then pour in the almond milk until it reaches two-thirds full.
  • Top the glass with the vibrant matcha mixture, creating a beautiful contrast of colors. Stir gently to combine the layers, and taste using a straw for sweetness. Adjust sweetness if desired.

Notes

Garnish with a few whole strawberries on top for a stunning presentation. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days. For longer storage, freeze the mixture in ice cube trays.
