- For the Spiced Pear Syrup:
- 1 cup pear juice fresh or bottled
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 slice fresh ginger
- 1 strip orange peel
- For the Cocktail:
- 2 oz vodka pear or plain
- 1 oz spiced pear syrup from above
- ½ oz fresh lemon juice
- Club soda or sparkling water for topping
- Ice cubes
- Garnish:
- Pear slices
- Cinnamon stick or rosemary sprig optional
In a saucepan, combine pear juice, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and orange peel. Simmer 8–10 minutes until sugar dissolves. Strain and cool.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add vodka, spiced pear syrup, and lemon juice. Shake well for 15–20 seconds.
Strain into a glass with ice. Top with club soda or sparkling water.
Garnish with pear slices and a cinnamon stick or rosemary sprig. Serve immediately.
Swap vodka with gin, rum, or bourbon for a flavor twist.
For a mocktail, replace vodka with sparkling water or ginger ale.
Store extra spiced pear syrup in the fridge for up to one week.
