Instructions

How to Make Deviled Eggs

  • Boil the Eggs: Place large eggs in a pot and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a rolling boil, then cover the pot and turn off the heat. Let the eggs sit for 10-12 minutes to reach your desired doneness.
  • Cool & Peel: Once done, transfer the eggs to an ice water bath for 14 minutes. This shock cooling helps with peeling. Gently crack and peel each egg under cool running water, then pat them dry.
  • Prepare Filling: Carefully halve the peeled eggs lengthwise and scoop the yolks into a mixing bowl. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and hot sauce (if using). Mash everything until the mixture is smooth and creamy, then season it to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Assemble: Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves, dividing it evenly. Sprinkle with paprika and top with chopped chives and dill for a fresh touch.
  • Serve: Arrange your beautifully assembled deviled eggs on a platter and serve immediately, or chill until ready to enjoy!

Notes

Optional: Garnish with crispy bacon bits for an extra crunch and smoky flavor.
