  • 1 baguette toasted baguette slices or bagel chips/crackers as alternatives

For the Whipped Feta Mixture

  • 8 oz feta cheese crumbles creamy and tangy
  • 4 oz cream cheese for smooth texture
  • 1 cup cottage cheese full-fat or whole milk preferred
  • 2 cloves garlic freshly minced

For the Toppings

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans for crunch
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary for garnish
  • to taste cracked black pepper

For the Hot Honey

  • 1/2 cup honey for sweetness
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar for balance
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce like sriracha, adds heat
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes use sparingly

How to Make Whipped Feta & Hot Honey Crostini

  • Measure all ingredients for the hot honey and add them to a small microwave-safe bowl. Heat in short bursts of 15-20 seconds until syrupy and runny. Stir well before and between bursts of heating. Set aside until you’re ready to assemble.
  • To the bowl of a food processor, add the feta cheese, cream cheese, and cottage cheese. Pulse several times to combine, then process until smooth and creamy. Pause as needed to scrape the sides with a soft spatula for an even texture.
  • To build the crostinis, use a spoon to spread the whipped feta across each piece of toasted baguette. Leave a few bumps and ridges to catch the hot honey.
  • Sprinkle with the chopped pecans and add a small sprig of fresh rosemary to each crostini. Drizzle the hot honey over each piece and finish with cracked black pepper to taste.
  • Serve alongside any remaining hot honey for re-garnishing as needed. These are sure to be a hit!
