For the Egg Rolls

  • 24 pieces Egg Roll Wrappers For wrapping.
  • 1 large Egg For wash, beaten with 1 tsp water.

How to Make

  • Prep Ingredients: Start by dicing the white onion, shredding the cabbage, and dicing the carrots. Mince the garlic and ginger, then slice the green onion.
  • Heat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). The right temperature is key for achieving that perfect crispy texture!
  • Cook Aromatics: In a large frying pan, sauté the diced onion in 1 tablespoon of olive oil for 2-3 minutes. Add minced garlic and ginger, cooking for another 30 seconds.
  • Add Vegetables: Stir in the shredded cabbage and diced carrots, cooking until softened for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Cook Turkey: In a separate pan, brown the ground turkey over medium heat for 6-8 minutes, draining any excess liquid.
  • Combine Fillings: Add the cooked turkey to the veggie mixture. Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sliced green onion, and black pepper. Mix well and let cool slightly.
  • Assemble Egg Rolls: On each egg roll wrapper, place about 2 tablespoons of filling. Fold and seal using the egg wash.
  • Bake: Arrange the assembled egg rolls on a baking sheet and spray them lightly with oil. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Cool and Serve: Let the egg rolls cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.
